IOC Chief Calls For Fun!
OLYMPICS : In a brave attempt to give the International Olympic Committee some face back
IOC chief, Juan Antonio Samaranch, is calling for all countries to take part in an
international family fun day. Hoping to have the event organised within the next 3 months
Mr Samaranch was keen to "..put bribery and scandal behind the scenes, where it
belongs.", and join countries together as one big happy family, with the exception of
the of a few of the 'ugly relatives'.
Initial invitations of interest, to take part in the
day of games and activities, will be sent out over the coming week to most countries, with
down payments to participate required to be sent back to the remaining IOC committee
members by the end of Feburary.
Although Mr Samaranch is in high spirits over the
idea, some now ex, IOC committee members have commented that it is a blow over tactic.
"Why would Samaranch want to have a family fun day other than to hide the corruption
within the committee? I saw him in a three legged race when we visited Salt Lake City to
collect a cheque. Admittingly it was a small, crampy, dimly lit, bar but he could harldy
stand....and don't even get me started on the 'sack' races"
