God Queries GST

The head of many churchs, the man himself, the great one who has apparently recently shaved the beard and opted for a more 3 day growth, surfy look, is querying the Australian Governments privacy acts in relation to Australian based businesses and individuals wishing to claim credits for GST, the new Australian Gods & Semites Tax.

With the implementation of Australia's new tax system, come the 1st of July 2000, many businesses are saying their prayers early that they survive the implementation of the new ways of doing businesses.  Many companies are also reaching towards religion as a possible answer to establishing how they will continue their business due to being placed in the difficult position of being unable to claim cash deals and under the counter transactions

Although generally happy with the abolishment of the countries Provisional Tax which has cost the great leader year after year due to many declining numbers in congregation, God is now in discussions with the Australian Tax Department (ATD) as to how much GST each prayer should incur under the GST, particularly due to the rapid increase in general prayer services now being taken for businesses.

Under the old taxation system, prayers were covered under the tax free component of general income for any business or individual and no need to record details was required, however under the new Gods and Semites Tax system each business or individual will incur a minimum 10% GST per prayer/per supreme being spoken to. (In general, for short prayers, this will simply require a secondary Amen, bow, or incantation to cover the costs however it is yet to be determined, and is being questioned by the almighty, whether recording this for taxation purposes may actually be a breach of the privacy act)
