In Tune For The Season
(By Andrew Brisbane)

In Tune For The Season.

With public outrage against an additional $250 tax donation from middle
and high income earners towards the governments military relief funds,
the Australian Federal Government has quickly backflipped
and in a word "changed its tune".

Federal Minister for the Arts , Senator Richard Alston, announced
late last week that the government has made a unanimous decision
that a much greater way of raising additional funds, particularly
around the Christmas season, is currently being looked into...releasing
the first ever Federal Government Sounds of Christmas Audio CD.

The CD is expected to be a complete collection of great Christmas
hits as sung by Australia's own state and federal politicians, and
should be on sale in all record stores within by mid December.

"We're proud of the way the CD is coming together", commented
Senator Alston as he closed down yet another Web Site non compliant
to his ridiculous Internet Content Legislation. "I didn't know
Johnny had such a great voice...the duet that cuts through political
boundaries between him and Mr Beasley even brought a tear to Bronwyn Bishop's eye!"

Some of the tracks on this first ever Federal release will be :

Good King Johnny Boy
I Saw Mummy Kissing Peter Costello
Jingle Bells (Beasley Smells)
Bronwyn The Red Head Minister Chick
The Twelve Days Of Parliment

and that sweet duet referred to by Senator Alston

Hark! The Federal Ministers Sing

The CD, simply titled "Industrial Relations And A GST Have Nothing
To Do With Christmas So Hear Us Sing" will be available mid December
and will have a recommended retail price of $250.
