Queen Settles Republic Debate!

After several years of keeping rather quiet in respect to the debate of whether Australia should become a republic or not, the Queen has at last spoken out and settled the issue once and for all.

With just a few months left until Australians themselves are given the choice of what Australia's future is to be, via a national referendum on the topic, the Queen made a short, but to the point, announcement yesterday by simply saying :

"For over 200 years we, my family and forebearers, have given the land of Australia much of its history...the criminals, the wars we have taken them to, ridiculous BBC comedy, and a cricket team to beat the crud out of, to name a few.   With this in mind and now their questioning of a monarch rule we have one thing to say....bugger off and start taking the piss out of someone else! "

Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, was very quick to respond to the Queens announcement, making a personal phone call to her explaining that the entire republic issue was the fault of the Labour Party, Unions, and violence in video games.
