Its An Impeachment, Impeachment For Me!
WORLD (Well the US anyway)! As the impeachment trial of all history gets underway in the
United States its time to get to and start writing a song or two about it, at least that's
what song writers are thinking. In yet another typical American twist, several bands and
writers are hard at work to bring out the first number 1 impeachment hit of 1999.
The first in a line of songs is heard to be released
by the Presidents of United States of America. Following the success if their 1997 hit
"Peaches" it's expected by some that "Impeaches" will soon hit the
radio stations and once again take the group into the top ten. Not to far behind the
Presidents a slightly changed release of the Neil Diamond classic "Hot Summer
Nights" to "Hot White House Days" is said to release some yet untold
information about the entire Monica affair.
Although neither of these songs will be endorsed by
the White House a third song, currently under re-write, is rumored to be sung by Bill
Clinton himself. In a joint effort between the current president and Matchbox 20, a
special release of "Girl Like That" is possibly expected over the coming month,
although discussions are apparently continuing over possibly switching to the plural of
the song title.
